How I wore it: Marc Jacobs jungle and girly bits erin go bragh-less

Summer is never really summer without some properly cold rainy days, at least here in Austria. I remember that in the first week of July, I would go on Scouts Camp and it would always rain. It was the only week in July of which I would say with a 100% certainty that it would rain.

Well, now I don’t go to Scouts camp any more, so clearly my narcissistic view of the weather has changed. Now it rains every weekend when I have plans. And it happened that I wanted to make pictures for you, hence it rained (a little, but still enough to prove my point).

I decided to wear Marc Jacobs Jungle, which is a beautiful bottle green creme polish. It dries so fast and glossy, I’m amazed; also, what you see on the pictures is one coat! Nail polishes like this prove that the extra couple of bucks/euros/currency-slang of your choice are worth it – to me, at least.

To accompany the beautiful Jungle, I picked a glitter mix by Girly bits called erin go bragh-less, which is basically a green jelly with green and golden glitters throughout. I used one coat over Jungle.

Both of these polishes are not polishes I bought or picked. The first one, Jungle, was a gift from E. who, from time to time, fuels my nail polish crazy by bringing me nail polish gifts. the second one, erin go bragh-less, I received to borrow from C., my nail polish friend.

Obviously I knew where I was going, so I found the combination of polishes rather amusing. The background story is that my friend E and I ‘rent’ a piece of farmland where we can pretend to be gardeners.

All the vegetables are planted by the farmers and they give them regular water too, so all we have to do is pull weeds and water the plants extra on hot days. Really simple, if you ask me!

I figured that for a city girl, jungle would be an appropriate polish to wear to out super tidy little field. And for erin go bragh-less? Hello, there’s hay! Wwhy is there hay on the ground? Could it be more obvious? (if you don’t get it, please don’t google it. It isn’t PG-rated)

I’m wearing: bag by Ina Kent, wellies: Hunter, skirt: J.Crew, pullover: GAP, scarf: Anokhi.
