Sunday Spam: essence

Today I  decided to show you some rather randomly selected essence polishes. I used two coats for each swatch unless otherwise specified.

essence crazy fancy love is a subtle duochrome polish. It shifts from a rosé to a greenish gold. One of my favorite color shift, this one was definitely a winner for me.

essence glorious aquarius, new version (over Catrice suspect from the Thrilling me softly LE), is a medium blue glitter topper. I like the mix of differently sized blue glitters, especially because the glitters are very dense. This is only one coat!

essence glorious aquarius, old version (over Illamasqua Muse) is so different than the new version! I like the mix of teal, orange and iridescent glitters, but they could be more dense I think. 1 coat.

essence gold fever is a dense glitter mix of gold and silver glitters in a slightly gold  base. As I love gold, this one easily won me over. The formula is quite good, but beware of chipping.

essence Icylicious from the Me&My Icecream TE, which I didn’t show you yet, but is rather old. Don’t worry about it though, it had a terrible formula.

essence Bussal from the Oktoberfest TE, which I had swatched but forgotten to post about. Bussal is a really nice red with a great shine to it, sexy but not unique.

essence Mauserl, also from the Oktoberfest TE, is a pistachio green creme, a really lovely, not yellow shade of pastel green. It was a bit tricky to apply, but works at three coats.

essence Spatzl, the third polish from the Oktoberfest TE, is a neon purple. The formula was ok, and the look is fabulous.

essence only purple matters (over Catrice discreet from the Thrilling me softly TE) is a glitter topper that consists of purple and magenta glitter particles in a clear base. Quite lovely!

essence here’s my number  (over OPI Roadhouse Blues) is one of the new-ish “sparkle sand effects” from essence. It took forever to dry on me (so did all the other shades from this sand effect line), but I didn’t like the look. What I didn’t like about it is that it doesn’t dry completely matte. If I wear sand polishes, I’d like them to be super flat (but sparkly).
