Have you seen the newest China Glaze Collections, specifically the Holiday one? I was so unhappy, there’s not a single polish I want and I usually love the Holiday collections (not that I’m in need of nail polish, but then I’m not really in need of anything else either). So out of my unhappiness I bring you a different China Glaze polish, one that I really love.
This is China Glaze Let’s Groove, and yes, it is purple, but I circumvent that by saying it is aubergine. I hated aubergines when I was small, the consistency is so weird, don’t you think? Now I like them better, I guess that with age I realized I’ll shrivel and turn into something slimy as well as the aubergine does, so I have empathy.
I layered 1 coat of Girly Bits Into the Night over the middle and ring finger. It does not look good that I received this polish in one of the first swaps with M., which means that I’ve head it for long and I’ve not worn it. Looking back, I feel idiotic. It is really, really pretty.
I was wearing this with a blue dress with white dots from Lien & Giel (a lovely Dutch design, read about where I shop in Amsterdam here). The best thing was that I managed to buy it for a steal.
What I like best about this dress is that it is wide enough to be airy and cool for summer but it isn’t so wide that it makes me look as if I wore a shopping bag. I’m too tall to wear shopping bags, and most of the colors available don’t fit me. Plus I’m not such a big fan of prints.
Anyhow, I loved the nails and this outfit. I think you’ll see me wear this more often. I’m guessing if I wore a blouse underneath and tights, it might work for winter too…. What do you think?
Dress: Lien & Giel, shoes: Vigneron, bag: Marc Jacobs, earrings: self-made, lipstick: Inglot 421.
