Lucky me was added to the femme fatale PR list and hence I’m able to show you a couple of femme fatale‘s absolutely mesmerizing glitters! femme fatale cosmetics is an Australian brand (started off as an indie company), hence the polishes are a bit tricky to get, as it isn’t allowed to send polishes out of Australia (and New Zealand for that matter).
One of the shades I received and the first one I tried is Jadefire.
Jadefire is a mix of red, holographic and (chartreuse) green glitters in all sizes and shapes in a muddy green base.
I was afraid I would use too much as I only have a sample bottle, so I layered two thin coats over Sephora by OPI It’s totally Karma. It wasn’t really necessary in retrospect, as Jadefire is so full of glitter that it covers on its own.
Even though I think green is a color you have to be able to pull off, this glitter can be worn by many, as the combination of chartreuse and red mixed with holographic glitters is so unusual yet so lovely.
It wasn’t easy to pick an outfit that would compliment this polish in an understated way so as not to overpower it.
I figured I’d go with a mostly black and white outfit so I chose a black pair of pants from H&M which I bought two years back for very little, but they turned out to fit so good, I never replaced them for something higher quality.
The t-shirt is from Uniqlo – as it seems a special France/Ladurèe edition. It is super soft so I can live with the fact that it has a dog on it. I actually despise all those idiotic t-shirts that have cats on them that wear hats and pearl necklaces, or similar foolish images.
Don’t get me wrong, I have an open heart towards fashion experiments, being no stranger to such on myself, but these cat and dog t-shirts that popped up lately, I just don’t get them. Maybe it starts with me not understanding how a cat dressed in jewellery and fake hair and a hat and what not is funny or cute. I just think the image is absurd and ugly, and the idea to do it is weird. People seem to have too much time on their hands, dressing up animals instead of doing something useful (and I don’t necessarily mean volunteering or doing something great, but just sit and actively listen to a friend for 10 minutes instead of designing adressed cat image!).
Anyhow, after my long rant it seems barely justifyeable that I own this t-shirt. I might turn it inside out if I wear it again. T-shirt: Uniqlo, pants: H&M, boots: Asos, cardigan: Uniqlo, scarf: present from H.
