I really really like OPI’s “travel” collections, my favorite of all time being the India collection, for my obvious love for the country and the gorgeous colors. This year’s collection covered the region of Eastern Europe, which OPI calls “Euro Centrale”. Some of the colors are gorgeous, while others just plain suck (hands off my Kielbasa!, for example).
I decided I couldn’t go wrong with my first pick being OPI…Eurso Euro, a royal blue creme, which reminded me of a darker version of nails inc Baker Street.
As I had just been informed that hearts on fingernails look childish and girly and I shouldn’t wear them (J.), I decided to show him that I can in fact wear hearts and glitter in style.
Therefore, I added a coat of Nothin’ Mousie bout it, a sheer pink sparkle polish with the occasional hearts in there. I had to fish for the hearts, but let’s be honest, who hasn’t fished for hearts before?
The combination of pink and blue reminded me a lot of this dress which I had been looking at many times, but hadn’t worn yet. I always argued with myself that it is too pretty to be worn all the time, so logically I wore it never. I figured at least I wore matching nails, so I finally took it out of it’s apathic sleeping/hanging state.
I was feeling a bit princess-ish, because the skirt flies when one turns. Apparently it isn’t the hearts in the nail polish, that make one childish, but a dress like this. Or it is just my character, sometimes.
Luckily my shoes/Chatelles in this awesome Yves Klein Blue match perfectly, and so does my ring which I painted in Max Factor Fantasy Fire and Road House Blues. The dress is a drawing I made and my favorite tailor stiched for me.
What do you think about nail polishes with hearts? Yay or nay?
