I started this manicure with a gradient in mind – I hadn’t done one with yellow and green yet, and I wanted something happy and light. The yellow I chose is BB Couture Little Deuce Coupe, the green (pistacchio!) is OPI Gargantuan Green Grape. While I love the color, the formula is literally the worst ever. It’s runny, then patchy, then it doesn’t level out, three coats are needed, you name it, it’s got it.
It took a lot of patience, as Little Deuce Coupe is rather sheer too, but I managed to get my gradient the way I wanted it to look. And as I have seen people put glitter over their gradients and that looking fabulous, I decided to do the same. The glitter I chose is from femme fatale “Keeper of the Grove”. It reminds me of our lawn in summer. It’s got all I love in one bottle: Green, pink, glitter. So cute!
I decided to not let the outfit overshadow the manicure (and also I had to go work!), so I picked a really creative outfit of black and white, with pink shoes.I have a serious shoe problem: If I could choose between spending so much money on a pair of black shoes and the same amount on a pair of colorful shoes, you can bet your money on me buying the colorful shoes. I’m so predictable.
The jacket is from H&M, the shirt from Oysho, the pants are from Zara, the shoes are from Zign (via Zalando.at). All in all I liked wearing the outfit with the fun nails, but Gargantuan Green Grape was a disappointment for me. Does it work for you?
